Let us call a spade a spade. Canadians and Americans are being critized for their spying activities as if they are the only ones doing it. There is a naive young man releasing confidnential information and putting the world at risk and giving America's enemies fuel for their tank. While I would agree that our collective fear is over rated, I am not willing to go so far as only Americans and Canadians are paranoid. Whe whole world is paranoid and everybody's doing it but hae not been caugt as yet. This too shall pass and we will survive it.
It is the age of tracking and we are all being tracked including the politicians. Unfortunately most people in our self-obsessed society needs validation and some of us go out of our way like disclosing state secrets to get that validation. How sad.
